My life path

After a Diplôme d’aptitude à l’enseignement du français (Diploma of Teaching French as a Foreign Language) at University of Lausanne (1989) and a Master of Arts in Nordic languages and English and French Philology at the University of Helsinki (1991), I was mainly active in teaching, teacher training and coaching, both in Finland, Spain, Switzerland and Colombia. Alongside my professional engagements, I also developed my textile and creative skills at the Royal School of Needlework from 2002 and on, resulting in the RSN Diploma of Technical Hand Embroidery in 2012.

My professional experiences as a teacher and teacher trainer in language teaching led me further on to more administrative work in the cultural domain, working at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne and at the Cultural Department of Lausanne, areas where my communication skills were much appreciated. At the Language Centre of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, I was in charge of a pool of about 40 teachers, doing Teacher Training and being active in conflict management. I also invested my time in guiding students and staff in their linguistic careers and exchange programmes. Thus I had the opportunity to develop my skills in deep and subtle listening as well as coaching by accompanying about 2’000 students, administrative employees, university assistants, tutors and teachers, as well as university professors.

From 2004 and on, I am self-employed and have worked as a coach, tutor and consultant in the textile domain which has given me the opportunity to develop my skills in project management and educational missions, for example with the Haute Ecole Pédagogique Vaud. Throught the Royal School of Needlework, I also had the honour to participate in the stitching of Miss Kate Middleton’s wedding dress when she married Prince William in London in 2011. In 2014 and 2015, I taught several embroidery techniques at the art and artesan school Escuela de Artes y Oficios Santo Domingo in Bogotà (Colombia, South America).

In early 2017, I qualified as a professional holistic coach after having completed the training with Danielle Brault in Lausanne. In 2016, thanks to Mensa, I had the great pleasure to develop my coaching with gifted and highly sensitive adults. In 2017, I trained as a Creativity Coach with Eric Maisel in the US, and I am a member of the International Coaching Federation. I am thinking about passing the Swiss Federal Diploma of Supervisor-Coach in a few years’ time.

Apart from my job as a coach and trainer, I maintain a strong and stable creativity as a textile artist and writer (mostly in Swedish). If you would like to know more about that, please click here !

As I am fluent in three languages and know three others fairly well, I can communicate directly in the appropriate language with people I meet. I speak French, Swedish, English, Spanish, German and Finnish. I also read Italian, Norwegian and Danish. I can coach you in French, Swedish or English
